Yesterday I was saddened to hear that the original spanking model Bettie Page passed away in Los Angeles, she was 85. She was the original spanking model even though years later she was quoted as saying “those scenes were all fake, I can’t understand how someone would think they were real.” In many ways Bettie was on the forefront of pushing past people prejudice against those of us with kinky desires. Though she was not active in the public light in her later years her early work really set the stage for the modern spanking media we know today and for that I’m greatful.
